TULSA, OK — Funeral for Max Tarrant, 71, of Tulsa, will be noon Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013, at First Baptist Church. Burial in Hennessey Cemetery under the direction of Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home, Hennessey.

Max was born Nov. 15, 1941, in Orlando to Floyd and Katie McCracken Tarrant and died Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2013, in Tulsa.

He graduated from Hennessey High School in 1959 and served in the U. S. Army in Vietnam. Max was a brick mason and worked with his father and brothers for a number of years.


Surviving are daughters, Sheri Stallings (Hezekiah), and Linda Tarrant, all of Tulsa; sons, John Tarrant of Coweta, Woody Tarrant (Jennifer) of Bixby, and Gary Tarrant (Sarah) of Tulsa; brothers, Loren Tarrant of Hennessey and Tom Tarrant of Crescent; sisters, Bobby Arnold of Tulsa and Stella Nipper of Kaw City; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
