Chesley Sipe, Former Resident Dies 
Suddenly at Home in Kansas 
 
Chesley Sipe, a former resident of this community, died  suddenly at his  home near Moran, Kans. 

Funeral services were conducted in the Baptist  Church in Hennessey Sunday afternoon.  Burial was made in the Hennessey cemetery.

Chesley David Sipe 
Died Suddenly in 
Kansas - Funeral Held 
Here Sunday 

Funeral services were held at the First Baptist church Sunday afternoon for Chesley D. Sipe, former Bison  resident who died suddenly Thursday at his home near Moran, Kans.  Rev. Wallace Linton officiated at the  service and interment was made in the Hennessey cemetery. 

Survivors include his wife and son Boyd Dean, of the home; his mother , Mrs. Alice Sipe, of Waukomis; two  brothers, Roy of Oklahoma City, and Omar , of Waukomis, and two nieces.

Mr. Sipe disposed of his farm interests west of Bison two years ago and moved to Kansas.

Chesley David Sipe, son of John and Alice Sipe, was born at Bison, Okla., Dec 23, 1899, and passed away at his  home near Moran, Kans. , March 20, 1947, at the age of 47 years, 3 months and 25 days.

He was united in marriage to Lela Puckett on May 7, 1922. One son was born to this union.  His childhood and young manhood was spent near Bison, Okla., until two years ago, when he and his family  moved to a farm near Moran, Kans.  Several years before moving to Kansas he was united with the Baptist Church of Hennessey. "Chet", as he was known to his family, neighbors and friends , and he had many friends was a kind, cheerful, home loving husband and father and a loyal friend and neighbor.

He will be sadly missed by his wife and son, Boyd Dean of the home. His mother , Mrs. J. F. Sipe, of Waukomis, Okla;  2 brothers, Roy of Oklahoma City. and Omar, of Waukomis; also two nieces, Dorothy and Janice Sipe, of Waukomis, and a  host of other relatives and friends and neighbors.
