Mass of Christian burial for Regina K. Simunek, 94, of Enid, will be noon Thursday, Jan. 21, 2010, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. The Rev. Kevin Ratterman will officiate.

Burial will be 3 p.m. in the Calvary section of Hennessey Cemetery.

The recitation of the rosary will be 7 p.m. Wednesday at Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel. She was born July 1, 1915, in North Enid to Charles and Martha Gales Iven and died Sunday, Jan. 17, 2010, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center. She was a 1934 graduate of Hennessey High School. She was a 1934 graduate of Hennessey High School. She married Jerry Simunek June 20, 1939, in Enid. They made their home on a farm near Bison and later Covington. They settled in Enid in 1966, where she was a lifelong member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.

Surviving are five children, Betty Simunek, Les Simunek, Ronny Simunek, Elsie Root and Kathy Bush, all of Enid; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry, one son and three brothers.
