Funeral services for Jeanita (Hardin) Richardson, 100 will be at 2:00 PM Monday May 17, 2021 at First Christian Church officiated by Rev. Ish Engle and Jimmy Berkenbile.

Burial will follow at Hennessey Cemetery under the direction of Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home.


Jeanita was born in Allen, Oklahoma on April 20, 1921 to Claud and Callie Cox Vinson and died Wednesday May 12, 2021 at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City. She married Floyd Wesley Hardin and later following his death married Max Richardson in Las Vegas, Nevada on September 23, 2007. Jeanita loved cooking, reading, playing cards and board games and was a whiz with crossword puzzles. She also loved to sing and often sang specials by herself and with a quartet. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and friends.

Jeanita is survived by her husband Max of the home; three sons Floyd Hardin and wife Gail, Ross Hardin and wife Nadine, Randy Hardin and wife Sandra, all of Hennessey; three daughters Darlene (Bynum) Trost and husband Rick of Aztek, New Mexico, Nita LaRose and husband Dave of Conway, South Carolina, and Brenda Culp and husband Greg of Edmond; three stepdaughters Sherry Shaw, Marty Richardson, Pam Elliott; twenty-six grandchildren; forty great-grandchildren; fourteen great-great grandchildren; and one great-great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her first husband Floyd W. Hardin; one son Monk Johnson, one granddaughter Sherry Goddard, and two grandsons Tracy Hardin and John Hardin.
