The funeral for Evelyn O. Money, 92, of Hennessey, will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 19, 2009, at First United Methodist Church, Hennessey. The Rev. Robyn Thompson-Goggs will officiate. Burial will be in Hennessey Cemetery. Arrangements are by Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home, Hennessey. She was born Feb. 6, 1917, in Clayton, N.M., to Theo and Bessie Fairbanks Hauth, and died Saturday, May 16, 2009, in Enid.
She graduated from Cherokee High School and attended Northwestern State College in Alva. She married Ted Money in Wichita, Kan., where they lived for 35 years. She worked at Cessna and Beech Aircraft in Wichita. After retirement they moved to Hennessey. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and Hennessey Senior Citizens Center. Surviving are two stepdaughters, Donna Messall of Enid and Gay Means of Hennessey; 16 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ted, two sisters, one brother and one grandchild. Memorials may be made through the funeral home to First United Methodist Church or Hennessey Senior Citizens Center.
