Services for Helen LaPorte, 92, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday October 12, 2011, at First United Methodist Church, officiated by Rev. Dr. Jim Hill. Burial will follow at Hennessey Cemetery under the direction of Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home. Helen was born at Lacey Dec. 10, 1918, to I. L. “Peck” and Minnie Goodpasture Norris. She died Saturday, Oct. 8, 2011, at Hennessey Care Center. Survivors are one daughter, Jeanette Fuksa and husband Daniel of Hennessey; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Helen was preceded in death by her husband L. D. Memorial donations may be made through the funeral home to First United Methodist Church or Mission Hospice.
