Wallace came to Hennessey with his parents in 1907, and for many years they operated a first-class meat market. He was considered one of the best in his trade. Two daughters and one son were born to this union, Eleanor (Jones) Bland, Asher Okla.; LeRoy, Hennessey, Okla., and Kenneth, Revira, Calif. While a young man, Wallace became a member of the First Baptist church in Hennessey. A fine musician in his own right, he played in several church orchestras. He is especially remembered for his beautiful trombone solos. He also served as a member of the school board for nine years. He was an active member of the Masonic lodge and would have received his 25 year pin this year, he was serving as secretary of the lodge at the time of his death.

He is survived by his wife and children already mentioned, one brother, Charlie, of Hennessey, one sister Mrs. W. C. Brown, EI Reno, Okla. and seven grandchildren, and a host of friends.
