The funeral for Jimmy Dean Hawk, 66, will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 28, 2022, at Dover Christian Church, officiated by Jimmy Berkenbile.

Burial will follow at Hennessey Cemetery under the direction of Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home.


Jimmy was born at Okeene on November 28, 1955, to Donovan and Dorothy Melendy Hawk and died Sunday, May 22, 2022, at his home west of Hennessey. 
 
He graduated from Hennessey High School in 1974. Jimmy married Kim Pribyl in Hennessey December 5, 1975.
 
He was a lifetime member of the NRA, the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, and a past member of the Hennessey Powder and String Club.
 
Jimmy is survived by his wife, Kim, of the home; one son, Jason Hawk and wife Christi of Hennessey; one daughter, Amber Mess and husband Brandon of Yukon; six grandchildren, Tyler, Kaden, Emily, Ryan, Brooklyn, Makyla; one sister, Jeanne Tate of Wichita; one brother, Gary Hawk of Hennessey; and his two fur babies, Rumble and Bentley.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant grandson, and one brother, Johnny Hawk.

Memorial donations may be made in his name to the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, or the Community Action Team.
