Anderson Burris Funeral Home

The funeral service for Ruby Gray, age 81, will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 7, 2012 in the Anderson-Burris Chapel with Rev. Steve Meier officiating. Burial will be in Hennessey Cemetery under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

Ruby Seal was born August 10, 1930 to Ralph and Lena Seal in the township of Clear Creek in Payne County, and passed away Thursday, May 3, 2012, in Hennessey.

Ruby attended Orlando Schools. On June 10, 1948, she married Harold D. Gray at Inola, Kansas. Together they lived in various cities in Northwest Oklahoma as Harold worked in the oilfields. She was a homemaker. Ruby’s passions were gardening, cooking and making candies, especially divinity and peanut brittle. She enjoyed her many grandchildren, and especially loved roses.

Ruby is survived by her son Harold Gray and wife Donna of Cushing; daughters, Karen Lohse and husband Bruce of Enid, and DeeAnn Morse and husband Dick of Nash; sister Mrs. John (Edna) Powers of Blackwell; 10 grandchildren: and 19 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Harold, brothers Willard and Larn “Jack” Seal, and grandson Jeremy Wayman.

Memorials donations may be made to OMRF – Alzheimer Division or Drummond Fire Department.
