Hennessey, OK
June 22, 1911

The death of Ray Fisher, oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Fisher, who resides ten miles southwest of town, occurred at the Enid hospital Thursday, June 15, 1911, aged four years, five months, and fifteen days.

The little fellow has been ill about five weeks of appendicitis and had been taken to Enid on Monday previous to his death for an operation, his father and uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Fisher, having gone with him to the hospital. The operation seemed to be successful but complications set in and death was due to brain fever.

The body was brought to Hennessey Friday noon and the funeral was held from the A. J. Fisher home Saturday morning at ten o'clock, Rev. N. Paul Barton, of the M. E. church, having charge.

The remains of the little sufferer were tenderly laid to rest in the city cemetery.
