Funeral services for Alta Ruthene Cooper, 82, Hennessey, will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday October 13, 2015 at First Baptist Church officiated by Todd Cameron and Rev. Chris Gordon.

Alta was born at Haywood on October 26, 1932 to Royce and Branch Adams Brewster and died Thursday October 8, 2015 at Hennessey Care Center.

She married Marvin Cooper at Ponca City and the couple moved to Hennessey in 1960. Alta was a member of First Baptist Church, a former officer of the Jaycee Janes and an avid bowler and was a member of the Hennessey Hens bowling league.

She is survived by four sons, Dean Cooper and wife Terry of Hennessey; Alan Cooper and wife Tammy of Enid, Terry Robert Cooper, Eric Cooper and wife Brenda, all of Hennessey; seven grandchildren Aaron Cooper of Edmond, Ryan Cooper of Hennessey, Jarod Cooper of Oklahoma City, Chase Cooper of Austin, Texas, Cassie Henderson of Enid, Keith Cooper of Alva, Clint Cooper of Nesgatunga; great-grandchildren Madison, Riley, Makenzi, Brok, Bailey Cooper, Peirce Henderson; two brothers Eugene Brewster of McAlester, Richard Brewster of Ponca City, two sisters Mary Lou Waller of Ponca City and Pauline McCurtain of Oklahoma City.

Alta was preceded in death by her husband Marvin; one infant so, and two brothers.

Memorial donations may be made in her name to Valir Hospice with the funeral home serving as custodian of the fund.
