HENNESSEY - The funeral for Leon J. Bradfield, 78, who died Thursday evening in an Okeene Hospital, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the First Christian Church in Hennessey.  The Rev. John Cope will officiate. Burial will be in the Hennessey Cemetery under direction of Cordry and Son Funeral Home.

Bradfield was born in Enid and moved to a farm west of Hennessey in the Lacey community with his parents.  He graduated from Lacey High School.  He then farmed in the Hennessey area, moving into the town of Hennessey in 1943.

Bradfield and Mabel McMeekan were married Sept. 19, 1925.

He was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of the First Christian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mabel; one daughter, Patsy J. Davis, Oklahoma City; one grandson; and nieces and nephews.

The casket will remain closed after the service.
