HENNESSEY – Graveside services for Charles Dale “Charlie” Bertrand, 69 will be at 12:00 PM Saturday August 13, 2022 at Hennessey Cemetery Pavilion, officiated by Jimmy Berkenbile. Cremation arrangements are by Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home.
 

Charlie was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on May 11, 1953, to Merlin D. and Vena Dorice Harris Bertrand and died Thursday, August 11, 2022, at Edmond Healthcare Center.

He graduated from Hennessey High School in 1971. He held many positions in the petroleum industry throughout his life. Charlie was a member of the Professional Rodeo Association.
 

He is survived by three sons, Brant Bertrand, Payden Bertrand, and Paxton Bertrand; two daughters, Regan Bertrand, Stacey Maloney, and husband Barry, three grandchildren, and one sister Linda Will.


Charlie was preceded in death by his parents Merlin and Dorice Bertrand.
 

Memorial donations may be made in his name to the American Diabetes Association, with the funeral home serving as custodian of the fund.
