Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 2 o'clock in the First Methodist Church for Frank J. Berard, 82 , retired Hennessey farmer. Berard died Monday evening in an Enid hospital  following a lingering illness.

Berard was born in Fairfield, Iowa and came to Hennessey in 1903 and lived on a farm west of  Hennessey until a year ago when he moved to town.  He was a member of the Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mary of the home; two sons, Elmer and Ernest of Hennessey; one daughter, Mrs. Esther Mershon, Oklahoma City; six grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. 

Reverend Russell Owen will officiate and burial will be made in the Hennessey Cemetery under the  direction of Cordry & Son Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Max Caulk, Richard Murray, Bill Baines, Lamar Gritz, Jim Blye and Sam Snyder.
