Rebecca Lois (Tallant)(Fisher) Akins

Rebecca Lois Akins was born in 1864 in Richland Co. IL. She was married to James Tallant in 1881, and to this union three children were born , namely Mary Eakins and John Tallant  of Cashion, and William Tallant of Galveston, Texas.

Her husband having died she married William Fisher, and to this union five children were born; Frank of Piedmont, Sarah of Pittsburg, Kan. , George of Shawnee, Ava of Okarche, and one died in infancy.

She was left alone again and was united in marriage with James Akins, who preceded her in death nineteen years ago. She was converted in her youth and  united with the church, living a faithful Christian life until her death.

Survivors  include three brothers and two sisters  seven children, a number of grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral service was held this Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Mauk Funeral home. Rev. Barnard of Yukon officiated , and interment was  made in the Grimes Cemetery.
