Enid News and Eagle (OK) - July 17, 2014

Funeral services for Dorothy L. Walker, 89 of Oklahoma City, formerly of Enid, will be Saturday, July 19, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in New Light Baptist Church with Pastors Larry Featherstone and Darren Norwood officiating. Burial will follow in Evans-Burrns Cemetery, Dover, Oklahoma.

Dorothy was born on June 15, 1925 in Dover, Oklahoma to Johnnie and Margie Burns Baucom and died on July 12, 2014 in Oklahoma City.

She grew up in Dover and graduated from Dover High School. Dorothy moved to Portland Oregon and married John Edward Crayton, Jr. and they five children. She moved to back to Enid in 1968 and was a foster grandparent for over 20 years. Dorothy was a member of Newlight Baptist Church. She moved to Oklahoma City in 2011 and was a member of Followers of Christ Church.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Larry and Bruce Crayton; two brothers, Lawrence and Charles Baucom; sister, Neolla Jennings.

She is survived by her children, Wanda Edwina Crayton Ellis, John Edward Crayton III, both of Dallas, Carolyn K. Spencer of Enid, and Sherry Crayton of Dallas; numerous, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; brothers, Willard Baucom, and James Baucom; sisters, Delores Herbert, Wanda Williams and Donna Johnson; nieces, nephews and friends.
