All About Hennessey

Graveside services for Etheleen May McCartney, 85 will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, October 16, 2021, at Cimarron Valley Cemetery. Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
 

Etheleen was born in Hennessey on November 9, 1935, to Leonard and Bethel Cronister Davis and died Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at Cimarron Nursing Home in Kingfisher.
 

She married Chancy Henry McCartney in Hennessey on September 5, 1952. They lived in Perryton, Texas for many years and retired to Canton Lake in 1993 where they made their home. Etheleen volunteered as a cook at the Canton Senior Citizens Center.
 

Etheleen is survived by five grandchildren Christy Buelna and husband Richard of Texas, Shawn McCartney, Deanna McCartney, both of Enid, Susan McCartney, Marsha Morgan, and husband James, all of Hennessey; thirteen great-grandchildren Bryce Wilds, Tyler Wilds, Ashley Wilds, Brookelyn McCartney, Katelyn McCartney, Clayton McCartney, Mallory Heinrich, Ainsley Heinrich, Shanley O’Neill, James Morgan, Jr. Chance Morgan, Anthony Morgan, Dominick Morgan; and one great-great-grandchild Willow May Wilds.
 

She was preceded in death by her husband Chancy, three sons Billy Joe McCartney, Clifford McCartney, Keith McCartney, and one daughter Sharon McCreary.
