Helen passed away Sunday, January 13, 2008. Helen was born August 4, 1913 in Cashion, OK to Will and Mary (Schöewe) Waswo. She attended Cashion Public Schools and graduated there.

Helen married Calvin Waggener in 1946. She spent her life supporting and aiding him in his farm operation. They traveled extensively after his retirement, visiting every continent.

Helen is preceded in death by her husband Calvin, her parents Will and Mary Waswo, one sister Melinda Vaughn, four brothers Otto, Earl, Edwin, and Raymond Waswo, three nieces Coleen Russell, Wanda Weinberg, and Charlotte Ecker, and one nephew Warren Waswo.

Helen is survived by two nephews and two nieces Bill Waswo of Oklahoma City, OK, Charles Waswo of Cashion, Viva Waswo of Oklahoma City, and Christine DiGiovanni, along with several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at Cashion Christian Church with Reverend Trina Bose-North of Cashion United Methodist Church officiating. Burial followed at Cashion Cemetery under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie, OK.
