Funeral services for George Thomas “Tom” Beck, 83, of Cashion, OK will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 2, 2008 at Smith Memorial Chapel with Dr. Dennis E. Clark of First Christian Church, Guthrie officiating. Burial will follow at Cashion Cemetery, Cashion. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie. 

Tom was born on January 3, 1925 in Seward, OK to Raymond G. and Elizabeth R. (Frank) Beck. He died Friday, August 29, 2008 at his home in Cashion. 

Tom married Edna M. Wakeman on March 16, 1946 in Oklahoma City, OK. He was a member of Cashion Masonic Lodge #174 A.F.&A.M., a 32nd Degree Mason in Guthrie Scottish Rite Consistory, and a member of Cashion Christian Church. He did dirt construction and farming for over 60 years and was a Cashion School Board member for several years. 

He is survived by his wife of 62 years Edna Beck of the home; three daughters Karen Anderson of Edmond, OK, Joyce Beck of Cashion, and Gloria Beck of Cashion; two brothers Raymond Beck of Guthrie and Richard Beck of St. Louis, MO; two sisters Bertha Hall of Ponca City, OK and Helen Boling of Edmond; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. 

Tom is preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held at Smith-Gallo Funeral Home on Tuesday, 8:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. The casket will not be open at any time.
