Emma Rose Zelnicek, 93, of Hennessey died Monday, Jan. 6, 2003, at Hennessey Care Center.

She was born Oct. 12, 1909, on a farm east of Bison to John and Mary Fuksa Gabriel. She married Louis H. Zelnicek in Bison on Nov. 24, 1931. They lived north of Hennessey. She was a member of the St. Joseph's Catholic Church and St. Joseph's Altar Society.

Survivors include one son, Eugene T. Zelnicek Sr. and wife Paula; one daughter, Emma Koehn and husband Harry, all of Hennessey; four grandchildren; two step- grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband and one sister.

Reading of the Rosary: Wednesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial: Thursday,at the church with Rev. Mark Mason officiating.

Burial is at CalvaryCemetery, under direction of Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home of Hennessey.
