HENNESSEY- Wake service for Clarence C. Vaverka , 60, will be at 7:30 p.m. today at St. Joseph's Church.  Funeral mass will be said at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church. The Rev. Joseph C. Kolb will officiate.  Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Hennessey, under the direction of Cordry & Son Funeral Home. 

The casket will remain closed at all times.

He was born Feb. 2, 1920, in Enid.  He died Sunday morning at St. Mary's Hospital. He grew up in the Bison community, attended grade school in Bison and High School in Hennessey. He had farmed west of Hennessey in the Lacy community for the past 22 years.

He was a veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of St. Joseph's Church, Hennessey.

Surviving are three daughters, Renee of Fairview, Cheryl Taylor of Hennessey and Marla Shaw of Sherman Oaks, Calif; two sons, Mark of Hennessey and Todd of Oklahoma City; his parents, Louis and Carrie of Hennessey; two sisters, Betty Boeckman and Bonnie Yost, both of Kingfisher; a brother, Don of Dewey; and two grandchildren.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to St. Joseph's Church or Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation for leukemia research.
