Hennessey – Anna B. Hajek, 85, died Monday morning at her home in Hennessey following a brief illness.

Wake service will be at 7:30 PM today in St. Joseph's Catholic Church at Hennessey. Funeral Mass will be at 10 AM Thursday in the church with the Rev. John W Scheller as celebrant. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery under direction of Cordry and Son Funeral Home, Hennessey.

Mrs. Hajek was born July 22, 1894, at Schyler, Nebraska. She married Frank J. Hajek February 23, 1914. The couple lived in the Hennessey area most of their married life. For 11 years, they resided in the Goltry – Helena community area.

Mrs. Hajek was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Altar Society, BPW Club, Royal Neighbors and American Legion Auxiliary.

Survivors include three sons, Joe and Jim, both of Hennessey, and Albert, Enid; three daughters, Mrs. Helen Vaverka, Hennessey, Rose Owens, Dell Valle, Texas, and Marie McGinnis, Benton, Kansas; one sister, Mrs. Charles Wahling, Fairmont; one brother, Joe Pipla, Phoenix, Arizona; 15 grandchildren; and 27 great – grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank, two sons, two brothers and two sisters.

Memorials may be made to St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Memorial Fund.
