Alfred Leroy Wright, 72, of Kingfisher, passed away July 28, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.


Alfred was born Sept. 22, 1949, in Kingfisher to Alfred and Wanita (Johnson) Wright.
 

Alfred graduated from Kingfisher High School in 1967. Following graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1970.
 

He then returned to Kingfisher where he worked at Apco, Baustert Motors and Temtrol until his retirement.
 

On June 30, 1999, he married the love of his life, Betty.

Alfred enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting and fishing.

He especially loved spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.


Alfred is survived by his wife Betty Wright of the home; his children, Jimmy Wright, Donnie George, Kay Borelli and husband Christopher, Bridget Palmer and husband Pete, Elizabeth Smith and husband Shawn, all of Kingfisher; 14 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Wanita Wright; and his children, Alfred Leroy Wright Jr., David Franklin Ray Wright and Jamie George.
 

Funeral service was Tuesday, Aug. 2, at Frontline Ministries.

Burial followed at Banner Cemetery of Dover. Services were under the direction of Wilson Funeral Home-Kingfisher.
