Tonkawa – The funeral for Aaron S. Allen, 40, will be 2 PM Wednesday at Fort Oakland Tribal Center. A noon feast will precede the service. Prayer service will be 7 PM today at the Tribal Center. Burial will be in Fort Oakland Cemetery. Arrangements are by McCafferty – Bolick Funeral Home.

He was born November 8, 1959, in Enid to Melvin Stephen and Gloria Martha Moncooyea Allen and died Saturday, March 4, 2000, at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Ponca City.

He received his early education in the Enid and Tonkawa schools. The family moved to Tonkawa in 1971. He was employed as a maintenance worker with Tonkawa Tribe.

Surviving are his parents, Melvin and Gloria Allen of Tonkawa; one daughter, Teresa Ann Hampton of Maine; three brothers, Melvin Jr., Charles and Sammie of Tonkawa; and four sisters, Joyce Marie Beard of Fort Worth, Texas, Teena Allen, Reba Allen and Eva Allen, all of Tonkawa.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, two brothers and one sister.
