ADRIAN VINCENT
The funeral for Adrian Vincent, 99, of Pawnee, OK., will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Morrison Christian Church. Burial will be in Tonkawa, OK. IOOF Cemetery. Arrangements are by Poteet Funeral Home, Pawnee, OK.
He was born Oct. 15, 1906 on the homestead in Jet, OK. to Will and Mae Dillon Vincent and died Sunday, July 9, 2006, at Southern Oaks Care Center, Pawnee, OK.
He graduated from Phillips University with a teaching degree. He taught English and math and coached football and track in Hunter for two years and Tonkawa 15 years.
He married Hazel Wile. They had been married 64 years at her death in 1999. He farmed in Kay County most of his life, producing and selling certified seed wheat. He served on the Kay County Fair Board more than 50 years. He raised registered Hereford cattle and registered quarter horses.
Surviving are one son, Bob Vincent of Morrison, OK.; a sister, Hallie Liming of Hillsdale, OK.; six grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by one brother, a sister and a granddaughter.
Memorials may be made to the Tonkawa Buccaneer football team, Tonkawa Public Schools, 500 E. North Ave., Tonkawa, OK. 74653 or a charity of donor's choice.
