January 13, 1961 - September 25, 2018

Jeffrey Allen Thomas was born on January 13, 1961 and died on September 25, 2018. A lifelong resident of Ponca City, Oklahoma, Jeff had a gift with birds. His ability to communicate with wild and tame birds was remarkable. Much like St. Francis, he could entice birds to land on his hand while he talked softly to them and calmed them. He raised cockatiels and also had a pet parrot to whom he was devoted. He owned and operated Hilltop Mobile home park in Stillwater, Oklahoma for 20 years.

He is survived by a son, Elard Thomas of Mandan, North Dakota, sister Gaylene Patterson and husband Lance of Durant, Oklahoma, nephews, Shane Patterson and wife Melissa of Durant, Oklahoma and Brant Patterson of Oklahoma City, niece, Bethany Holderread and husband Jason of Edmond, Oklahoma and special friend, Kathleen Anderson of Bartlesville, Oklahoma.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Leona Thomas of Ponca City, Oklahoma.

A graveside ceremony will be held at the Tonkowa I.O.O.F. Cemetery at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 with Tom Howard officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory of Ponca City.
