September 9, 1925 - June 4, 2021

Spencer Paul "Bud" Jemison, age 95, of Willis, TX, passed away June 4, 2021. A Private Graveside Ceremony will take place Thursday, June 10, 2021, at I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Tonkawa, OK. Those unable to attend the Funeral Ceremony, may attend virtually on the Trout Funeral Home website, www.troutfuneralhome.com, and click on the live-stream or toolbar icon on the top right corner after 8:45 a.m. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Tonkawa, 505 Thunderbird Rd, Tonkawa, OK 74653.

Bud was born on September 25, 1925, in Marksville, Louisiana, to S.P. Jemison, Sr., and Jeannette (Bordelon) Jemison. Bud grew up in Tonkawa with his sister, Jean Phillips. He attended Three Sands and Tonkawa High School. After high school, he served in the USAF from 1943 to 1947 as a Crew chief on C46 Troop Transport Aircraft. He served in the mainland China U.S. military support during Nationalist/Communist conflict. Being honorably discharged from the USAF, he went to work for Conoco Oil for 35 years, where he started as roustabout in Southern Oklahoma and retired as Field Production Foreman in Hennessey, OK. Bud then became an Operations Manager at Hole Drilling in Enid, OK, where he lived for 57 years. Bud loved bird hunting, fishing, water sports, golf, even snow skiing at 70.

Survivors include his children: Larry Jemison and wife, Connie, of Hot Springs Village, AR, and James Jemison and wife, Kathy, of Huntsville, TX; granddaughter: Rashelle Wimberly and husband, Billy, of Katy, TX; great-grandchildren: Will, Connor, Audry, and Luke.

Preceding in death were his parents; wife, Evelyn McDaniel Jemison; and sister Jean Phillips.
