October 12, 1946 - March 8, 2026

Bobby Joe Milligan, Sr., passed away on March 8, 2026, at a Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Bobby was born to Max Hershel Milligan and Vera Irene Crook Milligan on October 12, 1946, in Tonkawa, Oklahoma. He went to school in Ponca City, Oklahoma. Bobby married Janie Marie Creasey on June 27, 1967, in Tonkawa, Oklahoma. They lived in Tonkawa. He enlisted in the Army in 1967 and proudly served. He started working at Tonkawa Foundry in the 1960's and at Mertz in 1980. He returned to farming in the late 1980's, which he loved, and later to security work until his retirement. He was a skilled hunter and fisherman. He loved traveling and camping. His biggest joy was spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Bobby was preceded in death by both his parents, his wife of 46 years, Janie, and 3 brothers, Eber, Charles, and Max, and son-in-law Mark Sharp. He is survived by his sisters Paula Bibles of Blackwell and Sue Neeley of Ponca City, his 4 children with Janie, Paula and Thomas Kozma of Tonkawa, Tina Milligan Sharp of Tonkawa, Bobby Milligan Jr of Tonkawa and John Milligan of Blackwell, his grandchildren Bryan, Taylor and Austin Sharp of Tonkawa, Allyson Sharp Presley and husband Holden of Ponca City, Kaleb and Colbey Milligan of Tonkawa, Joe and wife Maddison Milligan of Kellyville Oklahoma; his three great grandchildren Easton Presley of Ponca City, Hudson, and Ellie Milligan of Kellyville.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, March 11, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and again on Thursday from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM in the Tonkawa IOOF Cemetery, Friday, March 13, 2026, with Donnie Hazelwood officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made out to the Stephenson Cancer Center - Speech Language Pathology Department, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, c/o Roberts and Son Funeral Home.
