Obituary

Sally Jean (Perry) Dennison, resident of Ponca City, died Sunday, June 25, 2023. She was 88.

A public viewing will be held on Thursday, June 29, 2023, at 12 PM - 6 PM, with family present from 4 PM - 6 PM, at Trout Funeral Home and Crematory, 505 W. Grand Ave, Ponca City, OK 74601. Funeral Mass will be Friday, June 30, 2023, at 10 AM, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 408 S 8th St, Ponca City, OK 74601. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of Trout Funeral Home, 505 W. Grand Ave, Ponca City, OK 74601.

Sally was born to Milton and Amelia (Warrior) Perry on July 6, 1934 in Enid, OK. She graduated from Grove High School in 1952, and continued her education at St. Joseph Nursing School, graduating in 1956. On September 1, 1956, she married Leonard Dennison, Sr. at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Together, they had three children: Mark, Lenny, and Sharon. Sally worked as a nurse and the director of HUDD. In her free time, she loved painting, traveling, casino hopping, cooking, and enjoying a pretty sunset over the river from their deck.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Dennison, Sr.; parents Milton and Amelia Perry; and sister Sharon Faye Perry.

She is survived by her children Mark Dennison of Ponca City, Lenny Dennison of Tulsa, and Sharon Dennison of Ponca City; sisters Diane Taylor Tulsa and Palm Springs, Kay Gatzman of Glenpool, Angie Underwood of Grove, and Karen Allen of Grove; and grandson Parker Dennison of Tulsa.

The family wanted to extend a special thanks to the staff of Humanity Hospice, who was so kind and loving to her during her time with them.
