Dorothy Morgan
October 12, 1936 - September 3, 2023

Our dear, beautiful mother, Dorothy Jean Nottingham-Morgan, of Ponca City, OK, who graced this world for 86 years, left this life on September 3, 2023. A Private Family Graveside Ceremony will be held at Round Grove Cemetery with Dr. Bob Ryan officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory, 505 W. Grand Ave, Ponca City, OK, 74601

Dorothy's life began in Kaw City, Oklahoma, on October 12, 1936, born to John and Mary (Howell) Nottingham. On September 28, 1957, she married the love of her life Thomas Morgan, in Sallisaw, OK and remained happily married for 61 wonderful years. Dorothy and Tom lived in Dallas, TX, with their family for many years before returning to Ponca City.

Dorothy found solace and community within the embrace of Ranch Drive Baptist Church. Her passions were as vibrant as her spirit, as she adored horses and dogs, relished family gatherings, and demonstrated her love through her culinary creations and shopping adventures. Camping under the starry night sky, hosting large dinners, and caring for her cherished fur babies, Bella and Willow, were sources of joy for her.

Dorothy had an eye for beauty and elegance, constantly adding touches of grace to her home and garden. Her kindness and generosity knew no bounds, and she radiated love to all who knew her.

Dorothy's memory lives on through her devoted children, Cathy Jackman, Janice Morgan and her partner, Raymond, Tommy Morgan and his wife, Becky, and Cindy Morgan, all residents of Ponca City, OK. She also leaves behind a legacy of love carried by her grandchildren, Angela and her spouse, Charles, Michelle, Nicole, Jeremy and his spouse, Ashley, Tommy, James, Justin, Cody, Kristen, and Sarah, along with several cherished great-grandchildren.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, Thomas, her daughter, Debbie Norvell, and her grandson, Brian Norvell, as well as her six brothers.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Mixon, James Morgan, Justin Morgan, Cody Morgan, Tommy Morgan, Tommy Joe Morgan, Gavin Rickman, Cole Jones, and Jacob Jackman.

In celebrating Dorothy's life, we remember her grace, her love, and the warmth she brought into our hearts. She will forever be cherished and dearly missed.
