Jerry Dale ''Turtle'' Winkelman longtime Ponca City resident passed away Monday January 15, 2018 in Oklahoma Heart Hospital with his family by his side. Jerry was born July 13, 1966 in Ponca City, OK to Joe Vernon and Billie M. Brown Winkelman. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, January 22, 2018 at Grace Memorial Chapel with Pastor Dennis Wildman officiating. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery under the care of Grace Memorial Chapel of Ponca City.

Jerry attended the Ponca City School system and he graduated from Po High in 1985. Upon graduating he went to work for Lowe's and then later worked for the City of Ponca City for several years. The last several years he was employed by Hughes Lumber Company. Jerry was an outdoorsman and he enjoyed hunting quail and dove with his dog's Lucky and Buddy. He was also known to wet a hook in any pond or lake he came across.

Jerry is survived by his daughter; Sara and husband Dalton Lee, Son; Cory Winkelman and 2 brothers; Michael Winkelman and Tim Winkelman all of Ponca City. He is also survived by his 5 grandchildren; Alexis Winkelman, Halee Winkelman, Hanna Winkelman, Gracelynn Lee, Reaghan Lee and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother.
