Louise E. Knight Wilson, longtime Ponca City resident, passed Sunday, October 5, 2014 at the Ponca City Medical Center. She was 93 years of age.

Louise was born June 1, 1921 in Alton, Missouri, the daughter of W. B. Palmer and Auttie Ellen Hunter Palmer. She attended grammar school in Birch Tree, Missouri, then schools at Braman, Oklahoma and Benton, Kansas before graduating from Wichita East High School in 1939. She was married to John B.B. Knight on June 2, 1940 in Tonkawa, Oklahoma. Mr. Knight preceded her in death on February 26, 1985. She was then married to Woodrow William Wilson on August 24, 1985 in Osage County. Mr. Wilson preceded her in death on January 28, 1993.

In earlier years Louise was a very active member in the Osage Heights Baptist Church where she had taught Sunday school, cooked and help sponsor summer church camp trips to Camp Lela and Falls Creek. She had served as the director and cook at the McCord Senior Citizens Center. Her enjoyments included her church work, going to the Gospel Jubilee, and in earlier years dancing and quilting, having belonged to the Big Hill Quilting Club. She baked and decorated cakes for several years, teaching her granddaughter Brenda the art of cake decorating. She also taught cake decorating at the Pioneer VoTech.

She is survived by her two sons, Joe Knight and wife Peggy of Wichita, Kansas and John Knight and wife Dianne, of Ponca City nine grandchildren, Brenda Kay Knight, Jolynn Knight Sizemore, Jack Dean Knight, Julania Knight, James Knight, Justin Knight, Jeremy Knight, Joani Enfield and Trina Knight 14 great grandchildren and 19 great great grandchildren, as well as other extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents her two husbands one son, Jay Rodney Knight and one sister, Lucille Dean.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, October 10, 2014 at Grace Memorial Chapel with Rev. Roslyn Harrison of Woodlands Christian Church presiding. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery. (AKA RESTHAVEN MEMORIAL PARK)
