Ophelia Ann was born on October 30, 1926 to John Henry Tullis and Minnie Aldridge Tullis in Riverview, FL. She was raised in Florida and lived there until she met Orville E. Sledge. They were married in 1945 after he was discharged from the military. They made their life in Ponca City before his passing in 1995. Ann was a faithful member of First Baptist Church for many years, especially loving her Sunday School class. Once she was in the nursing home, she steadfastly attended the weekly worship service there. Ann very much enjoyed reading her Bible and studying it. When not reading her Bible, Ann would spend time knitting afghans for her grandchildren and working in her yard. But above all, Ann loved spending time with her family.

Survivors include her beloved sons: Stanley Sledge and his wife Karyn, Terry Sledge and his wife Patti, and Troy Sledge, all of Ponca City, sisters: Jo Smith and Elizabeth Campbell; grandchildren: Jason Sledge and wife Chelsea of Tulsa, Jody Sledge and wife Tara of Ponca City, Tara Vallandingham and husband Michael of Bartlesville, Todd Sledge and wife Jennifer of Mountainair, NM, Chandra Hawker and husband Nicolas of Blanchard, OK, and Nicole Janko and husband Garrett of Moore, OK, and 19 great grandchildren.

Ann was preceded in death by her husband and siblings, Dorothy, Bill, John, Luther, Russell, Randall, George, and Ida.
