May 17, 1943 - September 29, 2020

Sara Janet "Jan" (Dobbs) Sinclair, age 77, of Edmond, Oklahoma passed away September 29, 2020 at Integris Baptist Medical Center, in Oklahoma City. A celebration of her life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday October 3, 2020 at Trout Funeral Home Chapel with their good friend, Bobbie Jorgenson officiating. Sara will be laid to rest at Resthaven Memorial Park following the service.

Sara was born on May 17, 1943 in Spartanburg, South Carolina to Marvin and Dorothy (McKenzie) Dobbs. She became a nurse in 1977 after graduating from NOC with her associates in nursing and went to work for St. Joseph's Medical Center in Ponca City from 1977 to 1991. Sara then went back to school in 1991 to obtain her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. She worked at several hospitals after that in the OKC area, including St. Anthony's Hospital, University Hospital, and Surgical Hospital of Oklahoma . Sara had a great opportunity to work for the Oklahoma Board of Nursing in 2001 as a Nurse Investigator. She retired from the Board of Nursing in August of 2008. Sara loved to spend time with her family and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her daughter, Kristi and her husband Adam Brooks of Paoli, Oklahoma; son, Adam Sinclair of Mascoutah, Illinois; grandchildren, Blake Hashagen, Levi Brooks, Brody Brooks, Shiloh Sinclair, Seth Sinclair, and Sebastian Sinclair; great-grandchildren, Oaklee, Graycen, and Kinsley, as well as many nieces and nephews. Sara is preceding in death by her husband, Charles; her parents, and son, Blake Sinclair.

Casket bearers will be Blake Hashagen, Brody Brooks, Levi Brooks, Seth Sinclair, Sebastian Sinclair, and Bret Sinclair. Honorary casket bearers will be Donnie Ray, Randy Ray, and Kevin Sinclair.
