Mary JoAnn Sherrill passed away Sunday, October 23, 2016. She was 81 years of age. A graveside service will be held Thursday, October 27, at 2 p.m. at Resthaven-Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery with Justin Beadles of Countryside Baptist Church of Stillwater officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home.

JoAnn was born June 16, 1935 in Ponca City, the daughter of Charles and Martha Graham. She attended Ponca City Schools. She was married July 11, 1952 to James (Jim) D. Sherrill in Burbank, Oklahoma. They lived most of their married life in Ponca City with a brief stint in Tucson, Arizona. She was a hardworking and devoted wife and mother. She worked at several jobs during her lifetime including working for Dr. Jim Fuller, Conoco, The Ponca City Hospital, and Personnel Staffing.

She is survived by her four sons, Michael and wife Robin of Stillwater, David and wife Pat of Ponca City, Tony of Ponca City, and Lane and wife Velva of Stillwater. Her twelve grandchildren, Brooke Horinek, Derek Sherrill, Heidi Scott, Cristal King, Bradley Bowlan, Casey Sherrill, Alex Sherrill, Adam Sherrill, Sydney Sherrill, Courtney Swafford, Nathan Lantz, and Desiree Lantz, along with eleven great- grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers, Larry Graham and wife Cloene, and Richard Graham of Ponca City.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Virginia Thompson and Lois Gates; one sister-in-law, Novella Graham; and one brother Charles Graham Jr.
