Jacquelin Jackie R. Sargent, resident of Ponca City, went to be with her Lord and Savior Friday, September 23, 2011 at her home. She was 73 years of age.

Jackie was born August 3, 1938 in Yukon, Oklahoma, the daughter of Loyal Baker and Helen Nusz Baker. As a child, she grew up on the family farm in Okeene, Oklahoma, later moved and was a graduate of McCune, Kansas High School. Jackie married Henry L. Sargent on October 17, 1958 in Newkirk, Oklahoma. She worked for the Otasco store in Ponca City, Local Finance in Clinton, Oklahoma, and the couple most recently owned and operated the Steamatic Carpet Cleaning Service in Ponca City for several years.

She was a member of the Newkirk First Baptist Church and in earlier years a member of the Newkirk Range Riders Club. Her enjoyments were watching and supporting her children and grandchildren in rodeos, basketball and football games. She also enjoyed farming, reading. attending the Poncan Opera and listening to country and western music.

Jackie is survived by her husband, Henry, of the home three children, Randy Sargent and wife, Shara, of Newkirk, Robin Carpenter and husband, Sonny, of Ponca City, and Reggie Sargent and wife, Bronna, of Newkirk three sisters, Judy Ware and husband, Herman, of Pawnee, Janice Presson of Ponca City, and Jo Ellen Baker Schickedanz and husband, Gene, of Ozark, Missouri 11 grandchildren 5 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brotherinlaw, Joe Presson of Ponca City.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at the First Baptist Church in Newkirk, with Pastor Rex Roberts presiding. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park in Ponca City under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel.
