Hazel O. Riggs went to be with the Lord to receive her reward on Sunday, April 13, 2014, Palm Sunday.

Hazel was born to John and Julie Hutson in Drumright, Oklahoma on January 14, 1934. She lived in Ponca City most of her life. Hazel was a longtime member of Faith Tabernacle Church. She was married to Mike Riggs on April 11, 1985.

She is survived by her husband Mike Riggs, of the home sons Gary Jackson and wife June, Larry Hutson and wife Doris, all of Ponca City daughters Junell Frazier and husband Junior, of Bristow, Oklahoma, Sherry Riggs, and boyfriend Kelly Sheppard, both of Enid, Oklahoma, Verna LeClair, of the home, and Rick LeClair of Garber, Oklahoma one brother, Roy Hutson and wife Joann, of Ponca City 20 grandchildren and 49 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Julie Hutson one daughter, Cheryl Cramer one grandson one granddaughter one greatgrandson.

Hazel and her husband Mike started the Mission in 1992. This was her dream to help the people of her community, feeding them, both physically and spiritually. She was a true spiritual leader of our community and always saw the good in everyone. Hazel always showed the true agape love of Jesus Christ to everyone and it was always present within her.

She graduated from New Life Ministries Bible Training Center in Enid, Oklahoma on May 27, 1977.

Hazel and her husband owned Pioneer Sanitation from 1984 to 1994.

Hazel not only left a legacy for her family but also for all the lives she touched. She was always willing to teach and share the Word.

She is gone in body but not in Spirit.Never Forgotten.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at Faith Tabernacle Church with Pastor Don Stanton presiding. Interment will follow in the Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel.
