Katherine Louise (Kay) Price, resident of McAlester, Oklahoma, passed away Tuesday morning, May 23, 2017 at Mitchell Manor Nursing Center. She was 89 years old.

A graveside ceremony will be held at Resthaven Memorial Park in Ponca City on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Care of the family is under the direction of Trout Funeral Home and Crematory.

Katherine was born on March 21, 1928 to Fred L Kay and Millicent ( James ) Kay in Eufaula, OK. She was married to Charles H. Price on January 13,1946 in Eufaula, OK. They moved to Ponca City in 1951. Katherine worked as an Administrative Secretary for Dr. Ralph Plummer at the Bi-State Mental Health Clinic for many years. She loved playing golf and growing a garden and flowers. She did a lot of volunteer work for the Salvation Army and always volunteered at church. Katherine and Charles belonged to the First Baptist Church in Ponca City for nearly 50 years.

She is survived by her son, Thomas E. Price of Flower Mound, Texas and by her aunt, Bonnie (Kay) Waters of McAlester, Oklahoma and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles H. Price, a son Charles E. Price and her parents, Fred and Millie Kay.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Salvation Army of Ponca City, 1804 N. 5th Street, Ponca City, OK 74601.
