Erlene Kay Penny, age 81, resident of Ponca City, passed away Sunday, August 2, 2020 in Edmond, Ok.

A memorial ceremony to celebrate Erlene's life will be held at 2pm Wednesday, August 4, 2020 in the Chapel at Trout Funeral Home & Crematory with Pastor Tom Howard officiating. She will be laid to rest privately at Resthaven Memorial Park at a later date. Erlene Kay Buerger, the daughter of Herman and Lucille Buerger was born August 1, 1939. On December 27, 1957, she married Wayne Penny in Ponca City, where they made their home, for 63 years.

She enjoyed watching old western movies, planting flowers, and frequenting the casinos.

She is survived by her husband Wayne, of the home, and her sister, Barbara Still, Ponca City. Children; Carolyn Penny, Midwest City, Terry Hance and her husband Jerry, Ponca City, Angel Cooper and her husband John, Oklahoma City, and Andrea Bradley and her husband David, Oklahoma City. Grandchildren and great grandchildren; Jerry and wife Stephanie, Kyle, Bryce, Saige, Jayce, Lucian, Cameron, Carson, Tyson, Bishop, Addison, and Henley.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers; Dennis and Richard, and her daughter Cynthia.

In lieu of flowers, Erlene may be remembered with a donation to the Ponca City Humane Society, 900 West Prospect, Ponca City, OK 74601.
