Damon Kyle Owens, resident of Ponca City, went to meet his heavenly Father on Monday, May 30, 2011. He was 40 years of age.

Damon was born May 13, 1971 in Ponca City, the son of Jim and Patsy Bales Owens. Damon attended the McCord School where he enjoyed playing soccer and football. He also attended Ponca City High School. He was married to Lisa DePriest and to this union was born two children, Chance Kyle Owens and Caleb Hunter Owens.

Damon worked in the family business, Jim Owens Sons Roofing, and was the founder of the family business, Body Masters Fitness Center. His enjoyments included body building, restoring his Mustang and Camaro cars, hunting and fishing. He also was active in many sporting activities that included motorcycle riding, dirt bike riding, sky diving, snow skiing and gocart racing. He was a member of the Foursquare Church.

After a car accident on December 10, 1998, which left him paralyzed, Damon still continued with his body building and went to Columbia College in Columbia, Missouri and to Northern Oklahoma College in Tonkawa.

He is survived by his parents, Jim and Patsy Owens two sons, Chance Owens and Caleb Owens one sister, Tanya Owens two brothers, Jimmy L. Owens and Tyrone Owens, all of Ponca City nieces and nephews, Cameron McGuire, Marc Cassaw, Nikki Owens, Eric Kimbrel, Sabrina Owens Wiley, Deseree Owens, Nathan Owens, Caitlin Owens and Tyler Owens great nieces and nephews, Bryce and Harrison McGuire, Kaden, Kaje and Kell Wiley, Adriananna Cassaw, Ella Grace Kimbrel and Kyndall Donnell also several uncles and aunts.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Frank and Irene Owens maternal grandparents, James and Ruth Bales.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 3, 2011 at the Foursquare Church with Pastor Blaine Herron presiding. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel.
