Nadine Yvonne Nelson, former Ponca City resident and current resident of Tulsa, passed Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at the Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa. She 77 years of age.

Nadine was born February 4, 1938 in Ponca City, the daughter of Floyd Cobb and Edna L. (McGhee) Cobb. She attended the Ponca City Schools. She was married to Ervin Lee Nelson in June 1953 in Winfield, Kansas. Mr. Nelson preceded her in death on May 17, 2006. In her earlier years she had worked alongside her husband in his construction employment. Later she was a Certified Nurse's Assistant at various Ponca City Nursing Homes.

Her enjoyments included going to flea markets, fishing, camping, boating, water skiing and collecting oriental ornaments.

She is survived by six grandsons, Michael Nelson and wife Melissa, Cory Bryan Nelson, Toby Glen Nelson, Dustin Eric Nelson and wife Laura, Jessy Allen Nelson and Whitney (Lund) Nelson; two granddaughters, Crystal Nelson and Tacota Nelson; eleven great grandchildren, Mia Nelson, Colton Nelson, Caylee Nelson, Tyler Nelson, Ashlyn Nelson, Lauren Nelson, Dustin Nelson Jr., Samantha Nelson, Landyn Nelson, Lexie Nelson, DaNia Stallsmith; half-sister Brenda Cobb Thorpe and half-brother Floyd Cobb; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sons, Sammy Lee Nelson and David Allan Nelson; one sister, Juanita Turner; step-brother Louis Nabors Jr.; one great grandson Ryan Nelson;

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Dennis Wildman presiding. Arrangements are under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel.
