Flora Irene Nash, 88, of Ponca City, passed away Thursday, March 21, 2013 at Ponca City Medical Center.  Flora was born on September 2, 1924 in Drumright, OK to Elijah and Mima (James) Ashcraft. She attended Drumright Schools, member of the Free Will Baptist Church in Ponca City. 

Married to Elza Eldridge Nash on October 6, 1941 in Drumright, Oklahoma. They owned and operated Nash Laundry for a number of years. Her greatest joy was her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed raising her chickens, playing bingo and playing dominoes with her grandsons. She was very sassy and people knew what she thought. 


Flora was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 brothers; Ed Ashcraft and Hollis Ashcraft, sister-Mildred Hilton and 2 grandchildren; Thomas Eldridge Nash and Diana Faye Nash. 

Flora is survived by her children; Tommy Nash of Ponca City, Gerald and Dixie Nash of Ponca City, Diana and Larry Polston of Pittsburg, KS, Lori and John Schiltz of Ponca City. 9 grandchildren; Tricia Peterson, Angelina Schweizer, Danny Reyes, Amy Partain, Leslie Cockrum, Michelle Wales, Nicholas Schiltz, Adam Schiltz and Johnathon Schiltz, 14 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchildren. 

Family will receive friends on Sunday at the home of Lori and John Schiltz, 13 South Oaken Gate, Ponca City, OK. 

Funeral Services will be 10:00 am, Monday, March 25, 2013 at Free Will Baptist Church with Pastor Adam Phillips officiating. Casket bearers will be; Nicholas Schiltz, Adam Schiltz, James Peterson, Billy Wales, Jason Cockrum and Buddy Nash. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery.
