Geraldine Elaine McFadden was born January 1, 1934 in Sarcoxie, Missouri. She passed away peacefully December 27, 2020 in Ponca City, OK

Gerry was the only child of Walter & Violet Wyatt. She attended Cushing High School and graduated with the class of 1951 where she was Salutatorian. She went on to attend Oklahoma A&M University where she was a featured twirler and an active member of Pi Beta Phi sorority. She graduated in 1956 with a BS Degree in Business.

On February 2, 1957, she married John Downing McFadden in Cushing, OK. Early in their marriage, they both worked for various large oil companies in Texas, Colorado and Oklahoma before finally settling in Ponca City, OK. In addition to being a homemaker and raising three children, she assisted John in managing several private business ventures.

Gerry was very active in various groups in Ponca City. She was an active member of First United Methodist Church, a charter member and past President of PEO Chapter FC, Garden Club and Pi Beta Phi Alumni Group. Her other passion was playing Bridge with her friends.

She cherished spending time with her children and grandchildren during the holidays and at the lake where she was still slalom skiing at 50 years old. She was kind, thoughtful and a friend to many.

Gerry was preceded in death in 2015 by her husband of 58 years John McFadden.

She is survived by her daughter Barbara Leathers of Enid, OK, son Mark McFadden and wife Cindy of Highlands Ranch, CO and son Mike McFadden and wife Michelle of Rogers, AR. Gerry is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Alison & Tyler Hill & son Lucas, Madeline & Corbin Couch, Downing & Lauren McFadden & son Hayden, Connor & Sammy McFadden, Garret McFadden, Payton McFadden, Luke McFadden & Abby McFadden.

Family and friends may come by Trout Funeral Home on Thursday, December 31, 2020 between 9 am and 8 pm to see Gerry. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 2, 2021 at 10:00 am at First United Methodist Church. For those unable to attend, the service will be live-streamed and may be accessed by going to troutfuneralhome.com and clicking the livestream link from the drop down in the top right corner. People that are able to attend in person, please observe that facemasks will be required. A graveside service will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Arkansas Chapter, 320 Executive Court, Suite 302, Little Rock, AR 72205. Online contributions can be made at cff.org/arkansas in memory of Gerry McFadden.
