Wayne L. Kraft, 85, of Ponca City, went to be with Jesus and his beloved wife, Belinda, in Heaven on Friday, July 20, 2012 at Ponca City Nursing and Rehab Center. Wayne was born on June 23, 1927 in Burlington, OK to William and Irene McGlasson Kraft.

Wayne grew up in the Alva area and in the late 40s, he was a member of the Army National Guard. In 1950, he was called to active duty, serving with the 45th Infantry Division during Korea. During this time, his military service made him the man he was. Wayne was a member of the V.F.W. and American Legion. Wayne married Belinda Bell LaBrue on August 26, 1954 in Alva. After graduating Northwestern State with a Bachelors Degree in Accounting, they moved to Ponca City in 1956. They had traveled to all 50 states. Wayne also gardened all his life, had an enormous sweet tooth and dearly loved his family. Wayne was a member of Eastern Heights Christian Church, had worked for CONOCO, Farmers Insurance, Book Mark Book Store, J.T. General Store and retired from Albertsons Warehouse. Wayne did volunteer work for Hospice of North Central Oklahoma.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Belinda and a twinbrother Donald.

Wayne is survived by 4 children Russell Wayne and Jean Kraft of Elmhurst, NY, Ronald Lynn and Stacy Kraft of Ponca City, Darlene Annette Morency of Ponca City and Denise Jeannette and Samuel Curatola of Mustang, OK. 10 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 10 am, Monday, July 23, 2012 at the Eastern Heights Christian Church with Pastor Mark Berry officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Casket Bearers will be Ron Kraft, Russell Kraft, Jeromy Morency, Paul LaBrue, Don Myers and Charles Stuckey. Honorary Casket Bearers will be Gary Heick, Jim McDaniel and Curtis Gilbert.
