Victor Louis Henry Kahle of Blackwell, Oklahoma, died Saturday evening, April 18, 2015, at his residence at the age of 90 years.

Victor Louis Henry Kahle was born on April 17, 1925, in Blackwell, Oklahoma, to Henry W. and Emilie (Tiemann) Kahle. He attended Blackwell Public Schools and graduated with the class of 1943. He served in the United States Army from 1944 to 1946, serving part of that time in Europe with the Sixth Armored Division. He married Wilma Darlene Heintz on September 22, 1946, in the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Blackwell. He then went to work for the Consolidated Natural Gas Company, working multiple jobs, retiring in 1985 as the warehouse foreman for Arkla Gas Company. He enjoyed maintaining his yard and farming. He was awarded the FFA State Farmer Degree in 1942. He was a faithful member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and held many positions within the church.

He is survived by his wife Wilma Darlene Kahle of Blackwell; two sons, David L. Kahle of Blackwell, and Daryl A. Kahle and wife Lynda of Kerrville, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Marius and Melvin Kahle.

Services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Thursday, April 23rd in the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Blackwell with Rev. Mark Mozeik of St. John’s Lutheran Church and Rev. James Dehne of Ponca City officiating. Burial will follow in the Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery in Ponca City. Military rites will be provided by the United States Army.

Casketbearers will be Daryl Vap, Les Grimm, Gary Heintz, Don Klein, Daryl Johns and Rex Heintz. Honorary casketbearers will be Charles Boesch, Delmar Tiemann, Paul Heintz, Marlin Kahle, Mike Kahle and Ramon Thiele.

A memorial has been established with the St. John’s Lutheran Church in c/o Roberts and Son Funeral Home, 120 West Padon, Blackwell, Oklahoma 74631.
