Marvin Gulley, former Ponca City resident, died Thursday, November 11, 2004 at his residence in Arkansas City, Kansas. He was 45.

The funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, November 18, 2004 at the Trout Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dr. J.D. Ward, pastor, First United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Arrangements are made under the direction of Trout Funeral Home.

Marvin was born on April 12, 1959 in Port Arthur, Texas, to Kenneth R. and Rosetta (Ronish) Gulley. He received his education in the Ponca City School System. During his youth, he enjoyed participating in youth group, Boy Scouts, a paper route, riding motorcycles, hunting, fishing and helping the elderly with their lawn care. He was a very proud Uncle to his nieces and nephews and loved them dearly. He also liked doing for others, watching classic western movies and listing to country music. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

He is survived by: his mother Rosetta Gulley of Ponca City, one brother Terry Gulley of Ponca City, three sisters Cynthia Maupin of California, Janice McIlwee and her husband Kevin of California and Kay Norden and her husband Tim of Ponca City, two nephews, four nieces, one great niece and one great nephew.

He was preceded in death by his father on March 7, 1991.

Casket bearers will be Tim Norden, Kenneth Crank, Mike Fletcher, Gene Phillips, Rev. David Bigger and Gary Doyal. Honorary Casket bearers will be Gene Putt, Steve Sanders, Tom Cusick and Leon Harman.

Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church Youth Fund, 200 S. 6th, Ponca City, OK 74601.

The family will be at the home of Tim and Kay Norden, 313 Redbird Drive, Ponca City, OK.
