Ersa Juanita Roebuck Frost, 92, of Ponca City, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2011 at Shawn Manor Nursing Home in Ponca City.

Ersa was born on March 1, 1919, in Dilworth, OK, to Ben and Mary Buell Hahn. When she was five years old the family moved to Tulsa and then to Pawhuska, where she attended school and graduated Pawhuska High School in 1937.

She married Ed Roebuck on Feb. 10, 1940. They Resided in West Texas and Tulsa before moving to Ponca City in 1951. Ed died in 1959. She married Cecil Frost in 1966 and he died in 1990.

Following Eds death in 1959, Ersa attended the Ponca City Hospital School of Nursing and graduated as a registered nurse in December 1963. She worked at the Ponca City Hospital until retiring. Following retirement from the hospital, she worked for Dr. Jane Thomason and Dr. Ahmed Agha for seven years, and then worked for Hospice for several years before actually retiring.

Ersa had been a member of the First Church of The Nazarene for 60 years and was very active in the church, having taught Sunday school for many years and having served on the church board. The church was very important in her life and until just the last few years she always picked up children every Sunday around Ponca City and took them to church.

Ersa was preceded in death by both husbands her parents one sister, Peg and two brothers, Elmer Hahn and Cecil Hahn. She was also preceded in death by three of her four children, Peggy Roebuck Carter, Ben Roebuck and Stan Roebuck. She is survived by one son, Kenneth Roebuck and his wife Kathleen of Arkansas City, KS one sister, Alice Hedges of Miami, OK, six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at 12 p.m., Saturday, October 8, 2011 at the First Church of The Nazarene, 1900 W. Grand, with Rev. Larry Hall, officiating. Burial will follow in the Resthaven Cemetery of Ponca City.
