Carrie Anita (Whitaker) Friesenhahn

May 29, 1933 - July 10, 2021

Carrie Anita Friesenhahn, 88, of Ponca City, OK, left this life on July 10, 2021. A Funeral Ceremony will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at Providence Baptist Church, with Pastor Steve Ballinger officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, July 27, 2021. Face masks are strongly encouraged. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory, 505 W. Grand Ave, Ponca City, OK 74601.

Carrie was born on May 29, 1933, in Ponca City, to Robert W. and Clara (Hawkins) Whitaker. She married Milton Friesenhahan on June 13, 1954, in Orange, California. She attended business college before becoming a loving wife and mother. Carrie worked many years in her church nursery. She also loved children, gardening and arts and crafts.

Carrie is survived by: her son, Mark, of Ponca City and several nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Milton; son, James; parents, Robert and Clara; sisters, Wilma Rezar, Mary Vollman; brothers, Robert Whitaker and Kenneth Whitaker.
