Shirley Naomi Dugan, resident of Ponca City, passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2019. She was 94 years old. Shirley was born on December 31, 1924 in Marland to her parents, Lenard and Pearl (Ingraham) Struble. Shirley grew up in the Bressie community. She left high school to work for a company making uniforms for the soldiers in World War II. She married Virgle O. Dugan on June 16, 1946 in Winfield, Kansas. Shirley retired from JC Penny's as a sales representative at the age of 82.

Shirley loved sewing, playing cards and jokers and pegs. She also enjoyed watching old westerns and snacking on a honey bun. Shirley loved spending time with her family and traveling on family vacations to Roaring River Missouri and War Eagle Craft Fair in Arkansas.

She will be missed by her family, daughter, Diane Malone of Ponca City, sons, Gordon Dugan and Steve Rozell of Chicago, grandchildren, Shaun Balman of Ponca City, Paige Briggs and husband, Rustin of Stillwater, Brook Linder and husband Jody of Ponca City, Sydney Dugan of Michigan, great-grandsons, Gaige Petty of Ponca City, Daltyn Stout of Ponca City, Landon Linder of Ponca City, Conner Guidrey of Stillwater, Jake Patison of Ponca City, great-granddaughters, Karsyn Tucker and husband, Bill of Piedmont, OK, Landrie Linder of Ponca City, Kenley Patison of Ponca City, great-great grandchildren, Claire Tucker and Gavin Tucker of Piedmont, OK, sister, Thelma Larimer of Ponca City, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Virgil, eight brothers, and two sisters.

Casket bearers will be: Gaige Petty, Conner Guidrey, Landon Linder, Jody Linder, Jake Patison, Rustin Briggs, Gavin Tucker and Bill Tucker. Honorary casket bearer will be Daltyn Stout.

A funeral ceremony for Shirley will be held on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at 11:00 am at Trout Funeral Home Chapel. Following the ceremony, she will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Park. Friends and loved ones may pay their respects at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 30th from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
