Sherry Lynn Davis passed away the day after her 62nd birthday, Saturday afternoon, September 7, 2019 in Oklahoma City. She was welcomed into this world on September 6, 1957 to her loving parents, Robert Cecil and Irene Maxine (Lauver) Davis in Dallas, Texas.

Sherry grew up in the Ponca City area, graduating from PoHi. Sherry lead a very fulfilling life with a career she loved, as Office Manager for Ceja Corporation where she worked for over 35 years. When not at work, Sherry was known for her crafting skills. She enjoyed crocheting and making hand made cards for all occasions for her friends and relatives. Sherry was a devote Christian, teaching Sunday School for many years at Glad Tidings Assembly. While her son, Robert was growing up, she was a Cub Scout Den Mother. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star and the Order of Amaranth.

Left to cherish Sherry’s memory are her son; Robert Davis of Ponca City, brother; Bruce and wife Sharon Davis of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, sisters; Elsie and husband Charles Goosey of Ponca City, Belinda and husband Charlie O’Donnell of Fort Myers, Florida, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Sherry was preceded in death by her parents; Robert and Irene Davis.

There will be a time of visitation for Sherry Tuesday, September 10th, from 10am to 8pm at Grace Memorial Chapel, 2016 N 14th St, Ponca City, Oklahoma, 74601. Her funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, September 11th, at 10am. Following her service Sherry will be laid to rest at Resthaven Cemetery.

In leu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions be made to Hospice of North Central Oklahoma, 445 Fairview, Ponca City, Ok 74604, phone number 580-762-9102 or a charity of choice.
